Needhams has a proven track record in a variety of housing projects ranging from a small extension to a new development of nineteen dwellings.
These projects have been awarded to us by social housing clients, architects and private individuals. Several have been under a design and build contract whereby we have employed the architect, structural engineer and other specialist contractors.
Recently some of the houses have had to be built to the Code for Sustainable Homes Levels 3 and 4. Features include solar and photovoltaic panel systems, ground and air source heat pumps, whole house ventilation, rain water harvesting, sedum roofs, brise soleil etc.
Swimming pools were constructed in some of the projects.
Current building regulations and legislation dictate a high level of insulation and environmentally friendly awareness (BREEAM).
Needhams has an excellent health and safety record, is a member of CHAS and is audited by external health and safety consultants who regularly inspect our sites.
